So this is Christmas? Millennium fever ......What have we got? For all of the hype and promise, much of what we find with the development of online learning technologies is limited by the overwhelming resistance to change in the learning environment. Will learning replace schooling in the 21st century? I hope so Cultural institutions will and are facing the glare of public scrutiny as they must begin to honour the promise of widespread, deep and ubiquitous access to state and national heritage and scientific collections and address the somewhat growing criticism of lack of relevance and elitism.
