Quality in Distance Education: ASPESA Forum 1991 (91.01) As technology and talk of connectivity spreads, the ASPESA conference stops to ponder the discussion of quality. It questions that when technology begins to be defined as quality, there is cause for concern. Video-conferencing was delivered during this conference and the point was made that the quality of the video appeared to be well in advance of the learning experiences delivered. Perhaps a prediction we need to monitor.. Some outstanding papers delivered, none better than by Patrick Bradberry from Charles Sturt University, entitled The process is the content. From Video-conferencing to the Masters of Distance Education to the design of self instructional packages and the Quality issues in Aboriginal education programs, the TV Open Learning Project and a fascinating presentation about AARNet by Walter Howse from Western Australia.
