In May, a crucial meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) will be held at the Japanese whaling port of Shimonoseki. The Fisheries Agency of Japan has launched an all-out campaign for a return to commercial whaling and will try to get it sanctioned at the IWC meeting.

Although Australia is slow to start in terms of global activity in the generation of Wind energy, this is at least a start.

Also, a neat little interactive can be found on the AUSWEA Web Site to play with the wind and power generated in different conditions. Worth a look.
