I love Text-Shadowing. I can't say enough good things about the CSS 2.0 text-shadowing support in Safari for Mac OS X 10.3. Despite the lack of Support in IE, Mozilla, and Opera, I've incorporated it into a few design. My thought is that it looks good on my favorite browser, so that's good enough for now. Here's an example of the power of this tag:

Text Shadowing on Mozilla Text Shadowing on Safari

Notice how the banner and nav-link text in the Safari version look as though it were rendered in Photoshop. The drop-shadows really make the text "Pop". We are one step closer to a future where we can have professional looking, standards compliant, design that are still easily adjustable/customizable. I hope Mozilla follows Apple's lead and incorporates this feature soon. I'm hopeful IE will, but I'm sure they are a lost cause.
