IPod gives PC users the chance to peek at perfection
By Matthew Fordahl, Associated Press
For years, Macintosh computer users suffered taunts from the PC crowd about the limited availability of software and hardware that runs on the Mac platform. Then Apple Computer introduced the iPod ( www.apple.com/ipod/ ), a portable music player that was simply the best in the business but was initially designed to work only on Macs. A year later, an iPod for Windows-based PCs is out. Not surprisingly, it works just as well as the Mac iPod [~] so well, in fact, that other Windows players will be eating dust.
